Privacy policy

This policy explains how Rusty Snacks handles information submitted through rustysnacks.com. The store is in prelaunch and does not currently accept payments.

Information we collect

We collect an email address when someone joins the First Drop or contacts support. Our hosting and security providers may automatically process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, timestamps, and security signals.

How we use information

We use information to deliver requested launch and marketing emails, respond to messages, operate and secure the website, prevent abuse, understand website performance, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Marketing choices

Email marketing requires an explicit consent checkbox. Subscribers may return to the First Drop form with the same email to update topic interests and may use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to stop marketing messages. Klaviyo provides suppression controls for unsubscribed, bounced, and spam-complaint profiles; Rusty Snacks will verify those account settings before marketing sends are activated. Transactional or support messages may still be sent when necessary and legally permitted.

Saved carts and Cart Rescue

When checkout opens, customers who explicitly opt in to Cart Rescue may provide an email address and allow us to store the product identifiers, item count, and value of that cart. We create a private, expiring recovery link so the cart can be restored. Saved carts are designed to expire after 30 days. Do not share a recovery link because anyone with the link may be able to view and restore its cart contents.

Analytics, advertising, and website monitoring

Optional providers do not load unless you allow their category on this device. Analytics and diagnostics includes Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Metricool, and Sentry. Advertising and onsite marketing includes the Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Pinterest Tag, and Klaviyo onsite tools. These providers may process device, browser, IP address, page-view, click, scroll, session, referral, conversion, and diagnostic information and may use cookies or similar technology. A browser Global Privacy Control signal keeps advertising and onsite marketing off. Clarity is configured to mask sensitive content, and Sentry is configured to protect sensitive fields. Advertising campaigns and live purchase tracking remain off during prelaunch.

Deferred rewards and referrals

Rusty Rewards and referrals are not active and are not accepting enrollment during prelaunch. The public website does not request a mobile number for either program. This policy will be updated before any separately approved enrollment opens.

Service providers and retention

We may share only the information needed with hosting, security, database, email, payment, loyalty, shipping, analytics, and professional-service providers acting for us. We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described, security, dispute resolution, legal requirements, and program accounting.

Cookies and local storage

Necessary local storage remembers the cart and privacy choices on this device. Optional analytics, advertising, email, and monitoring providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, or similar technology only after their category is allowed. You can return to the privacy choices above at any time. Browser settings may also be used to limit cookies, although doing so can affect website functionality.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the store adds checkout, payment, shipping, analytics, or other services. The updated date above identifies the current version.
